School Programs

Early Morning Drop-Off

EPCS has an early morning drop-off and breakfast program. This program is available to all students who require an early 7:30 A.M. drop off.

Lunch Program

EPCS participates in the federal free and reduced lunch program.

Child Study Team

Meeting the academic needs of all students is paramount to our mission.

Students with disabilities are provided a free appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment. Identified students will receive academic and support services as per their IEP.

All new referrals are submitted to the Child Study Team provided through Hunterdon County Educational Services Commission, Charter, Public and Non-public School Services.

Intervention and Referral Services (I & RS)

The I & RS team assists teachers who are having difficulty with students due to academic and/or behavioral problems.

The Englewood on the Palisades Charter School Committee consists of the principal, classroom teachers, teachers seeking assistance, and specialists determined by the teacher to be appropriate. Student referrals may be submitted to the I & RS Team by the school personnel and parents.

Tutoring

The academic needs of our students are met through our formal and informal tutoring efforts. EPCS conducts a school-wide tutoring program from January through April. In addition, short term individual and/or small group tutoring sessions are conducted throughout the school year by individual classroom teachers.

Testing

PARCC 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are standardized tests that were developed by the State of New Jersey to measure the proficiency of third and fifth grade in the areas of Language Arts Literacy, Mathematics and Science (excluding 4th grade Science which uses NJ ASK). This test is usually given in the spring of the school year.

School Nurse

EPCS has a nurse on premises in case of emergencies. The nurse is also responsible for testing students under Doctor Supervision
